Lauderhill Named Tree City USA
It was announced the Lauderhill has been named a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation to honor its commitment to community forest. It is the 14th year Lauderhill has received this national recognition.
To receive this honor, Lauderhill has met the four standards to become a Tree City USA: a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, a comprehensive community forestry program, and an Arbor Day observance.
This years Arbor Day observance will be held 10 AM, on April 28 at the Ilene Lieberman Waterfront Garden Park, next to the Inverrary Hotel. Additionally, free trees will be given out.
