Governor Issues Executive Order 06-200 to Prepare for Hurricane Ernesto
Governor Bush issued Executive Order 06-200 today in response to Hurricane Ernesto, whose eye is expected within 90 miles of Key West on Tuesday night, then into the Tampa Bay/Nature Coast region at Category 2 or 3 strength. The executive order activates Florida’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and names the Director of the Division of Emergency Management as the State Coordinating Officer. The State Coordinating Officer is given powers defined in the order to meet the emergency.
