Two weeks ago three males entered the Star 7 store with handguns, located at 2992 NW 55 Av. and forcibly took $500 from the cash register, the clerk's wallet and cell phone and fled in a waiting Mercury Marquis. Officer Gonzalez spotted the vehicle getting on the Turnpike heading south. He stopped the vehicle and the four occupants were detained. After obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle, all four were arrested for robbery, two handguns and all property was returned. The vehicle was a rental from Miami.
A arrest warrant was obtained for two people who had called Dominos for a delivery and robbed the delivery person. Both were arrested from the central district.
Around the same time, a male wearing a mask pointed a handgun at a victim in the parking lot of Brampton Court and took her 2000 Mercury Marquis. Sgt. Pulitano located the vehicle on Sunrise Blvd. and the Turnpike entrance. A brief foot pursuit ensued and the suspect was taken into custody.
All seven charged with robbery and one additionally charged with auto theft.
