It's a Harlem Renaissance Family affair.
Enjoy Live Jazz music by The Nicole Yarling 4-tet, dancing by The Jubilee Dance Theatre, dramatic readings and poetry. The first 50 families will receive a free book.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Lauderhill Towne Centre Library, City County Credit Union (Lauderhill Branch); and the Florida Center for the Book. Funding also comes from Broward County Libraries and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Additional activities will continue until will run from February 7 to March 30, 2012, with special programs on February 23 (Preschool Storytime at 10:30 am), March 10 (Film - The Eyes Were Watching God at 2 PM) and March 13 (Documentary - Zora Neale Hurston: Jump at the Sun, 1 PM).
