Lauderhill’s MLK Task Force Celebrates its 10 Year Anniversary with Roland Martin!
The City of Lauderhill and The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Task Force are busy preparing for several events to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The guest speaker for this year’s Official Program is the accomplished and talented, Roland Martin.
The City and the MLK Task Force have broadened the scope of activities associated with this year’s celebration by including educational components to elementary, middle, and high school students. “Our MLK Task Force is committed to educating our youth about Dr. King’s dream through events like the Spelling Bee and the newest component – The Great Debate,” states MLK Chairperson, Commissioner M. Margaret Bates.

Proceeds benefit the MLK Scholarship fund for college bound high school students who apply and are eligible.
