The City of Lauderhill Invites You to Attend the Ground Breaking for the New Broward Estates Park

After several years of looking a dilapidated water plant, the old abandoned building was finally torn down! Now rejoice with the residents of Broward Estates and the City Commission as the construction of a brand new park is about to commence!

Upon Lauderhill’s annexing Broward Estates in 2006, Homeowner Association President Mr. Jacob Greene, asked that the City find a better use for the distressed property. The Mayor and Commission all agreed that the land would be best used as the community’s first park!

Phase I of the park construction designed by EDSA – world renowned architects - is to have a series of flowering trees, where some type of flowers can be seen blooming year-round. There will be a new playground, lush landscaping, an LED lighted walking trail, decorative pedestrian and outdoor furniture, amphitheatre, and public art to be created by local youth from Parkway and Broward Estates.

Please join the residents of Broward Estates, the Mayor, City Commissioners, and Staff for an Official Groundbreaking Celebration on Thursday, the 29th of April, at 10 am, to include light refreshments as we celebrate the New Broward Estates Park.

Parking and the ceremony will be located on the Northwest corner of NW 4 Court and NW 38 Avenue.
