Lauderhill Police Report


Detectives from the Lauderhill Police Department, with the assistance of members of the U.S. Marshall’s Office Fugitive Task Force and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested 29 year old Raul Gibson in connection with a drive by shooting that occurred on January 11, 2007.

At about 4:00 pm, on January 11, 2007, an altercation began between the occupants of two vehicles in the 3400 block of Broward Boulevard. The occupants of one of the vehicles fired on the driver of the second vehicle, Gauntlette Henningham, of Lauderhill, striking him in the arm and face.

Information obtained by investigators from Lauderhill, the Marshall’s Office and FDLE led them to the Evergreen Lakes Apartments in Coconut Creek where they observed and apprehended one of the shooters identified as 29 year old Raul Gibson. At this time investigators are still attempting to determine Gibson’s permanent address.

A search warrant was executed on the apartment where Gibson was staying and investigators were able to locate two (2) assault rifles and nearly 20 pounds of marijuana.

Investigators are attempting to identify one additional shooter in this case. That individual was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Raul Gibson.
