The Beacon Awards began in 2012 as a West Palm Beach-only focused event and has grown exponentially into an award show that celebrates people who do good work on behalf of youths all

over South Florida. The term BEACON describes a fire or a light in a high, prominent position shining a pathway. This year's recipients embody the term BEACON with their great and tireless efforts to engage, encourage, enrich and inspire young people all over South Florida to find their light and let it shine.

From scholastic and business to sports and the theatrical, dance, musical arts & entertainment worlds, these individuals are changing lives daily for the better in our communities. From the inner cities and suburbs alike, there's always a child looking for guidance, understanding and ultimately, validation.
