Florida Department of Transportation has agreed to a settlement with Defendants on the defective peeling light poles that were installed throughout Broward County. The poles have been an issue for residents everywhere, including Lauderhill, and were unsightly.
The Settlement calls for the subcontractor to repaint and repair most of the poles, and some will be replaced. Work is expected to begin early next year.
While the location of the poles are throughout Lauderhill and Broward County, it is noted that many of them within Lauderhill (but not all) are on 55th Ave., 56th Ave., 68th Ave., Atrium, Inverrary, Rock Island, University Drive, and Oakland Park Blvd.
