Notes of the Commission Meeting of 4/10/06

On April 10, 2006, the Commission met and covered discussed the following items of interest:

1) Passed an ordinance restricting Adult Entertainment Uses and Adult Bookstores/Video Stores;

2) Passed an ordinance placing restrictions on dancers in Adult Entertainment Facilities;

3) Passed an ordinance allowing for the installation and operation, under emergency and maintenance conditions, for electric generation machines (sponsored by Mayor Kaplan);

4) Made appointment to numerous board, though a position for a general Commission appointment to the Planning & Zoning Board remains open for applications. Other appointments may also be available;

5) Ranked architectural firms for design of a new city hall;

6) Approved the awarding of a bid to install lightning detectors at city parks.
